It's 1983, the evening before Dr. Sally Ride's historic space flight. Hundreds of miles from the launch, a group of women with passionate options and no opportunities sit on a rooftop in St. Louis watching life pass them by.
In this scene, Sally Ride has one last encounter with her past love before she goes into space the next morning.

The story of a husband and wife struggling to do right by their son, Jake, who is embracing his feminine expression.
In this scene, Greg and Alex meet with Jake's principal, Judy, to discuss Jake's future. The meeting derails when Judy mentions Jake's wish to be a girl.
